Things to Do and See at Derwen Mill

Derwen Mill is the perfect place to spend a relaxing weekend, just sit back and enjoy the natural surroundings and the peace and quiet.

If you feel more energetic then there is lots to see and do not far from Derwen Mill.   We are only a short stroll from the pretty village of Guilsfield, with its pub/restaurant, shops and post office.  The Dingle Nursery, one of the best in Wales, is right on our doorstep. 

The picturesque market town of Welshpool is only two and a half miles away, with shops, pubs, leisure centre, cinema and railway.   The world famous Powis Castle, which has been a royal summer retreat for many years, is five miles away.

For the more adventurous there is golf, fishing, walking, climbing and quad bike trekking within easy reach.

Within reasonable driving distance is Bala Lake, with a whole range of watersports and a visit to the popular, bustling seaside town of Barmouth is only a one and a half hour drive.
